This home is our first home in the exquisite estate of Garlington. When I arrived at the site, the view captivated me so, that I already knew it had to be included in all facets of the design. These wonderful and very trusting clients, allowed us to design a brand new swimming pool and have carte blanche. The view looks for miles, and you feel like you are on top of the world, so a look out deck for sunrise coffee moments, as well as afternoon sundowners, had to be included.

The Tv room adjacent to the kitchen was given life with an exquisite colour palette from the Ardmore Jabula collection. New frameless glass stacking doors were added and a new sunroom and bar were designed. The objective was to ensure that each space linked to the next, encouraging you to be able to use each as comfortably and efficiently as possible. The home was bought fully furnished, so we utilised most of the existing pieces just upcycling them with fresh fabrics, and the addition of a few new smalls.

Our beautiful bar, with its exceptionally beautiful weathered leather marble tops, brass handle detail and foot rail, allows sporting fixtures to be watched in the sitting room without being disconnected from the rest of the home. We kept the bar at kitchen nook level, so that the open fireplace, when not used as a braai, can be enjoyed by those sitting in the sun lounge area.
